Continue reading »]]> I just got new accessories from Sony. This is designed for Android device only. Why? Because it need you to install Sony application named “Liveware” and “Smart Watch”.

And with out android. This watch will not display anything included Clock!.  Also this watch have only vibration.

After you install application on your android phone and paired with your watch. Your Smart Watch will immedieatly show Clock and date like above photo. You can’t change this screen. And can’t adjust brightness.

To control your watch.
- Push a physical button on right hand side of watch to turn screen on/off.
- One finger tap to choose, get into widget.
- Two finger tap action back to previous screen.

All the Smart Watch extension software you installed into android phone. It’ll show as widget (can enable/select in liveware manager).

I like sony design on this watch. You can remove it from wrist band. and clip on to anything you want.

At back side of watch when press the clip. You will found charging slot. Cable already included in Smart Watch package.

Come to software side. You have to install 2 application.
- Liveware Manager
- Smart Watch Extension

The liveware manager will list all accessories attached or can attach to your phone. And can select action for each device.

When you select Smart Watch application. This will show all the extensions you can use. And additional extension can find on google play store.

1. Download the following two files:
   1. HTC Sync software →  You’ll need it for installing proper drivers  for your phone
   2. Fastboot files → download link These are the files required to run fastboot commands on your Windows PC
2. Now install the HTC Sync software you downloaded in Step 1.1 on your PC
3. Extract the “fastboot.zip” file you downloaded in Step 1.2 on your PC, you’ll see a folder named “fastboot” with the following four files inside it:
   • adb.exe
   • AdbWinApi.dll
   • AdbWinUsbApi.dll
   • fastboot.exe
4. Now put your phone in bootloader mode:
   1. Switch OFF your phone.
   2. Press and hold “Volume down + Power button” together until your phone boots into bootloader mode.
5. Select Fastboot using the Power button. Use the Volume buttons to go up & down and Power button to select the highlighted option in the bootloader mode.
6. Connect your phone to the PC with a USB Cable.
7. Open the fastboot folder that you extracted in Step 3.
8. Then open a Command prompt window inside the fastboot folder. To do this → “Shift + Right Click” on any empty white space inside the folder and select the ‘Open command window here’
9. Type the following in the command prompt window: fastboot devices This is to ensure that your device is detected, if nothing appears on screen with this command, then it means you don’t have the proper drivers installed on your PC. And if that’s the case you should download and install/re-install the HTC Sync software given in Step 1.1
10. Now type the following command to re-lock your HTC One X bootloader fastboot oem lock
11. That’s all. Your phone’s bootloader is now re-locked and it’ll reboot automatically To confirm, boot into bootloader mode (follow Step 4.1 & 4.2) and you’ll see “RELOCKED” written with a pink highlight at the top of the screen

Continue reading »]]> Yesterday I tried to flip my DJI F330. Unlike other person on youtube. I can’t do it. When I shoot the quad to sky and roll it. After quad upside down. I can’t control and result is immedieatly drop to ground.

This is my result. All props gone. 2 front leg broken. All electronics still good. Think possitive. My electronics will gone if leg not broken. But one leg cost $8. Look expensive on my view.

Continue reading »]]> I just got it today. Let’s see what different from their brother. This is small size quad copter from DJI. Small package with short arm length. Size of motor to motor is 330mm (33cm). Can compare with Gaui 330X.

The package box is same as before. ARF sticker like F450, F550.

Package contain:
- 1 x Top/Bottom plate (Small)
- 4 x Leg (Redx2, Whitex2)
- 4 x DJI ESC 18A Opto
- 4 x DJI Motor 2212/920kv
- 6 x Props (2 for spare)

What’s tiny top/bottom plate? This is really tiny. You can’t compare it with F450 / F550.

DJI ESC 18A Opto. Do you think its enough for F450? I’m thinking about put F330 engine on it.  Size of ESC same as DJI ESC 30A.

Motor for DJI F330 are same as F450 and F550. All using 920KV (3S/4S).

Propellers are 8×4.5. They give you 6 props. Now I can use this with my F550. I would like to know flying behavior.

DJI F330 leg is really small and short.

Same like F450. Bottom board have 4 solder point plus one for battery.

I only have one DJI Naza for F450/F330 and GAUI 500X. So I make a small jack for easy VU meter.

After finished solder it will really fast to complete all leg to frame. Just only 5 minutes.

Complete assembly for DJI F330. Turnigy 2200mAh 3S really match with frame not to big.

One for all. Motor 2212/920KV.

It can’t put it GoPro with housing. Leg is too short and props hit. But i’m not confident to fly with this way. Any suggestion?

Continue reading »]]> I’m using XBee on APM 1.0 before. But it stop working with unknown reason. Today I decided to get replacement Xbee and I choose “XBee Pro 900 RPSMA”. It can use external antenna and also support my old 900Mhz module (I feel like it only broke one).

The setup on Xbee module is really easy. Just only check your firmware, Modem ID and baud rate. And it ready to rock.

Step to setup

Step 1) I use RPSMA module as master and connect to laptop. And wire antenna version on multi-rotor.

Step 2) Connect first module to laptop via USB board. And open X-CTU software.

- Change Com Port
- Choose baud rate to 9600 (This ony need when you get new Xbee)

Step 3) Goto Modem Configuration tab and click ‘Read’ one time. It will show Modem type and parameter on Xbee. Please make sure you select correct modem version.
- Change ID – Modem VID to any your desired. But keep both Xbee unit same value.
- Optional function – DH/DL to allow 2 Xbee units can talk to each other. If you want this feature, just write down your SH, SL value of first Xbee unit. Then put it into DH, DL on second unit. And same on second unit. Write down your SH, SL value of second unit and put into DH, DL on first unit.

Then you click ‘Write’ button. This will save your parameter and change modem firmware if required.

Step 4) Change baud rate parameter to “57600” and click “Write” again. Then done. (Please make sure all software that use Xbee have to choose 57600 baud rate).
